As a top 14 transportation firm, HMB has some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. We’re looking for a Structures EIT to work on capstone-type transportation projects and gain meaningful project exposure from day one.

Key Responsibilities
Working under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of structural calculations, technical reports, bridge analyses, and construction documents.
Assisting with the design and development of transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related infrastructure components.
Preparation of accurate plans, design details, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordination with clients, subconsultants, utility providers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
Supporting field reviews, inspections, and constructability assessments when needed.
Assisting in the preparation of permit applications and agency submittal packages.
Contributing to project scope development while supporting schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Working collaboratively with roadway, geotechnical, traffic, and other engineering disciplines to support project success.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum 2+ years of experience in structural or bridge engineering design, preferably within transportation projects.
EIT Certification preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
Experience with structural analysis and design software preferred (MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, LEAP Bridge, STAAD, or similar tools).
Understanding of bridge and transportation structure design principles and applicable design standards.
Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard industry software.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments and meet project deadlines.
Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
