Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for a Structures Lab Test Engineering Manager to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

This manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day Structures Lab Test operations in support of multiple Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) & Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) development and sustaining programs, as well as defining the strategy and execution plan to position their team and lab for the future of our program partners' testing needs. This role requires a determined commitment to safety, quality, and functional excellence that will drive increased efficiency and schedule performance. Position Responsibilities:

• Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Structures Test & Materials Verification
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
• Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
• Manage capital investment projects and long-range planning for capital investments into the lab
• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Develop and engage employees through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, as well as identifying growth opportunities and assignments that best fit the needs of the individual and the company

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position, you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Tukwila, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
• Experience working with and presenting to technical, management and executive level audiences
• Experience in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• 3+ years of experience leading and/or managing a team
• 3+ years of experience in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
• Technical project/program management experience

Summary Pay Range: $151,300 - $204,700
