- The Sheetmetal Technician works under general supervision to safely layout, fabricate, and install parts, equipment and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels, to work in teams or independently and communicate effectively with co-workers or supervisory staff.
- Safely perform sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft under general supervision.
- Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications
- Use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings and technical instructions to safely perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft
- Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions

- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support
- Perform quality check on biometrics work and cross check quality of work of peer employees
- Refer less routine questions and problems to the Site Supervisor and ASCM

- Fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft

- Performing heavy maintenance repairs and modifications to regional jets
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, fabrication of parts from a variety of materials
- Read blue prints and schematics
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor necessary for the normal day-to-day operation
- Work with a team, provide support throughout Client's offices, hospitals, and rehab sites
- Installing the product at the customer site
- Provide direct department support for acquiring transportation authorization and related services for all modes of travel; emergent, non-emergent, charters, and scheduled commercial
- Determine the format, documentation and dimensional requirements within conceptual and detailed drawing packages
- Laying mulch, pulling weeds, etc), salting and snow removal during winter months, resetting sprinkler systems, painting, fence repair, exterior building repair)
- CRJ 200, 700 and 900 series aircraft, Bombardier Business Aircraft (Challenger, Global Express) in a repair station environment
- Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance schedules for all at track equipment and devices, and keep logs of all maintenance activities performed, including tasks completed, date
- Perform IDP duties if assigned, after receiving Final Suitability Clearance and completing training
- Maintain a fingerprint reject rate of 2%
- Lay out, cut, bend, forms, shapes, fit, drills, reams, install fasteners, rivets, assemble and install sheet metal airframe structural members
