The Student Accounts Receivable Receptionist will be a primary customer service contact for students financial accounts in the Bursar and Collections office. Individual will also work with all aspects of the student accounts receivable, invoices, and department receipts. The Bursar office is responsible for recording or collecting approximately $55,000,000 in student fees and tuition, and receipting or depositing a large portion of the Universitys estimated $130,000,000 in current revenues each year. The Bursar office provides customer service to campus employees, students and their parents, as well as various campus organizations and outside organizations for processing payments.

Required Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of related experience that includes accounts receivable, cashiering, or customer service experience
  • Computer skills, including word processing, database and spreadsheet software

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Computer literate with expertise in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Solution oriented to assist students and others at the front window and over the phone
  • Strong communication skills to work with students, co-workers, employees, and programmers
  • Understand University and federal regulations concerning student rights
  • Experience working with Banner and/or Touchnet
