Summary
The Student Activities Coordinator delivers high-quality extracurricular programs and services that enrich the student experience by creating engagement and vibrancy. Managing all aspects of the Office of Student Activities, the Coordinator develops student leaders through a student-centered approach. This role requires an outgoing, charismatic, and highly organized professional who inspires engagement and has a broad vision for campus programming, along with strong communication, organization, creativity, and interpersonal skills. This position offers the option to live in NMC on-campus housing in a semi-furnished apartment, with room and utilities covered year-round. When the position includes on-call responsibilities, the employee must stay in NMC housing that week, be within 15 minutes of campus while on duty, and not consume alcohol while on call.
Qualifications:
Essential Responsibilities
Program Planning & Execution
(Critical) Plan, execute, and assess engaging campus-wide events, including weekly programming, traditional semesterly events, and large-scale welcome week activities.
(Critical) Coordinate special campus life events, tournaments, and at least three major weekend or evening programs per semester.
(Critical) Collaborate with Residence Life, Student Life, and Extended Education Services to boost student participation and maximize the use of campus facilities.
Student Leadership & Supervision
(Critical) Recruit, mentor, and advise the student-led Campus Activities Board.
(Critical) Serve as the primary Advisor for the Student Ambassadors program, supervising student and supplemental workers.
Marketing & Assessment
(Critical) Partner with the Public Relations department to advertise upcoming events through print, digital, and in-person channels.
(Very Important) Gather and analyze feedback from the student population, translating trends into impactful programming.
(Very Important) Utilize engagement and attendance tracking efforts to gain insight into student involvement.

Additional Information
This position requires living in the on-campus apartment and not having the option to reside off campus. The person in this role will be on active duty for one week per month for the residence halls (East Hall and North Hall), and they must reside on campus during this time.
Dorm room & utilities are offered, but no meal plan.
