Student Assistance Program (SAP) Counselor
Job Overview
This grant funded position represents a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to prevent and address risk factors that relate to substance use and mental health needs in the community of Raymond. In collaboration with school and district level administrators the SAP counselor will provide school wide substance use and mental health prevention activities, individual and group support to students, consultation with school staff and caregivers and be involved in community prevention efforts. The district seeks to fill a full time position at the High School.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work a minimum of 40 hours per week throughout the school year on student days with an additional fifteen days to cover summer and/or vacations and evening programming.

The selected candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in a mental health field. License Preferred. Experience working in a school setting and with at risk youth required. Promising candidates will be allowed twelve months from the contract effective date to become a Certified Prevention Specialist.
Additional Information
This is a salaried position with full benefits and a grant funded operating budget. 200 days per year.
