Job Summary

These are 19.5 hours per week maximum, part-time student employee positions. These positions require employees who are able to positively represent this Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

The Executive Committee Members shall provide leadership to the Student Government Association by establishing agendas, chairing committees, recruiting members, and increasing campus awareness of SGA.

The student employees must have effective writing, verbal communication skills, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information.

The schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the students class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.

Responsibilities

Upholds the Student Government Association constitution -

  • Upholds the Student Government Association constitution
  • Attend and present leadership development sessions and trainings on and off campus. (May drive state vehicle to meetings/trainings out of town.)
  • Facilitate and participate in general meetings as a representative of the student body
  • Prepares documentation for meetings such as presentations, minutes and agendas
  • Creates various brochures, flyers, forms and surveys
  • Prepares semi-annual reports for the Office of Student Life
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the Office of Student Life
  • Runs errands on campus; may drive campus golf cart on occasion
  • Perform any related work as required

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours
  • Must maintain a 2.75 GPA
  • The President must be at least a sophomore have completed at least twenty-four (24) semester hours. The individual must have been at least a Senator or Executive officer for one semester in good standing. While in term of office, the individual must not be in final year of teaching or in the nursing practicum.
  • The Vice President must have completed thirty (30) semester hours. The individual must have been at least a Senator for one semester in good standing. While in term of office, the individual must not be in final year of teaching or in the nursing practicum.
  • The Secretary or Treasurer must have completed twenty-four (24) semester hours. The individual must have been at least a Senator for one semester in good standing. While in term of office, the individual must not be in final year of teaching or in the nursing practicum.

Other Required Qualifications

  • May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus

$9 per hour
