Student Assistant - Dining Services - 530402

Pay Grade/Pay Range: $12.00/hour

Department/Organization: 505181 - Dining Services

Normal Work Schedule: Varies; Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings, early mornings & weekends as needed

Job Summary: The Student Assistant delivers campus supplies and performs operational support for Dining Services. This position also assists with office functions, customer service, basic computer tasks, records management, and field support across multiple campus dining locations.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama undergraduate student. 

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ability to walk between campus locations and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
