Position Description:
A student enrolled in the TTU System employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor. This part-time employee will provide support in an assigned research laboratory conducting specified phases of infectious disease research projects. Work is performed under biomedical research laboratory conditions. May instruct or direct work of other subordinate student trainees and other laboratory personnel.

Major/Essential Functions:
Develop laboratory procedures and techniques in virology, microbiology, and immunology.
Perform experiments to analyze immunological responses.
Conduct animal experiment to evaluate effectiveness and safety of new vaccine and therapeutics.
Responsible for general lab maintenance including research supplies and equipment.
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP's values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
