Job Description
The Michigan Civil Service Commission, Bureau of Benefits Administration, Employee Service Program (ESP), is seeking a motivated and compassionate student who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in contributing to a professional and fast-paced mental health environment. This position serves as a Student Assistant, providing administrative support and assisting in the delivery of employee assistance services to state employees and their family members. The role supports the prevention and resolution of work-related and personal challenges that may affect employee performance.

Required Education and Experience
This position generally requires current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institutions. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Student Assistant class.
Additional Requirements and Information
Student Assistant positions cannot exceed 129 working hours in a calendar month and must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term, providing proof of enrollment at the start of each term. Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
