    The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement is hiring for the role of Project Assistant responsible for advancing generalized Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement needs, leadership education, training, and development in the CLCE and supporting a team of Professional staff, student staff and volunteers in the development, execution, and assessment of leadership programs, services, and initiatives. The Project Assistant role is also responsible for management of office processes and systems to support leadership development, and Civic Engagement needs.

    Housed in the Marshall Student Center (MSC) the CLCE is an indoor, climate-controlled office. Depending upon the nature of the assignment, this position may require substantial work in outdoor environments, and/or regular attendance and participation in meetings during evenings and occasionally weekends.

    The majority of work involves sitting, standing, and walking in a typical office environment with a computer and related office tools. Job duties may also require manual dexterity and lifting (up to 50 pounds).

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled undergraduate student. Federal Work Study award is not required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with at least one CLCE event/program.
    • Support and assist Leadership Development Coordinators and Student Organization Development Coordinator in leadership development programs and/or student organization development and management.
    • Operationalize the CLCE''s data driven, outcomes focused, leadership and civic engagement-connected approach to assessment that includes regular and ongoing formative, process, and summative data collection and analysis of our work.
    • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, serving on campus committees and supporting and representing the CLCE as needed at CLCE and university events.
    • Front desk reception (e.g. greet guests/visitors, answer phone, take messages, etc…)
    • Operate general office equipment (e.g. computer, phone, copier)
    • Manage work in CLCE tech systems (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Bulls Connect, etc…)
    • Attend CLCE Training and Development sessions and volunteering opportunities
    • Other duties as assigned
