Purpose

The Front Desk Support Assistant plays a central role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and student‑centered environment. This position exists to provide front‑line support to students and visitors by greeting guests, answering general inquiries, directing individuals to appropriate campus resources, and managing appointment check‑ins and multi‑line phone communications.

Responsibilities

  • Front desk support: greet students, answer general questions, direct visitors to appropriate resources, manage student appointment check-ins, and handle multi-line phone communications.

  • Administrative tasks: Assist with long-term organizational projects and other duties as assigned, with virtual office hours included.

  • Resource Management: Ensure office environment spaces remain welcoming and functional.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in 12 course credit hours with a minimum of 2.5 GPA or higher.

  • Strong communication skills: Comfortable interacting with students, staff, and faculty.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Professionalism: Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality

  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with email and office software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in customer service or office environments

  • Interest in academic advising, student services, or higher education

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary Range
$10.50
