Camp Counselor- The Tulane Baseball Youth Camp Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for campers ages 6-12. Counselors will assist with baseball instruction, supervise daily camp activities, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and serve as positive role models for young athletes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers throughout all camp activities.
Assist coaches with teaching baseball fundamentals, including throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, and base running.
Lead and participate in drills, games, and recreational activities.
Encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, confidence, and respect among campers.
Provide age-appropriate instruction and support to players of varying skill levels.
Maintain attendance records and monitor camper behavior.
Assist with equipment setup, organization, and cleanup.
Communicate effectively with camp staff, coaches, parents, and campers.
Enforce camp rules, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
Help create a fun, inclusive, and positive camp experience for all participants.
