JOB DESCRIPTION:

Camp Counselor- The Tulane Baseball Youth Camp Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for campers ages 6-12. Counselors will assist with baseball instruction, supervise daily camp activities, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and serve as positive role models for young athletes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers throughout all camp activities.
• Assist coaches with teaching baseball fundamentals, including throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, and base running.
• Lead and participate in drills, games, and recreational activities.
• Encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, confidence, and respect among campers.
• Provide age-appropriate instruction and support to players of varying skill levels.
• Maintain attendance records and monitor camper behavior.
• Assist with equipment setup, organization, and cleanup.
• Communicate effectively with camp staff, coaches, parents, and campers.
• Enforce camp rules, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Help create a fun, inclusive, and positive camp experience for all participants.
