Saint Josephs College of Maine invites applications for the position of Student - Camp Counselor for the 2026 Monks Sports Camp!
Dates of Monks Sports Camp: Session I: Monday, July 27th - Thursday, July 30th Session II: Monday, August 3rd - Thursday, August 6th
DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH POSITION:
Group supervision of campers Help campers plan and carry out projects and activities such as sports and games Promote and encourage camper participation in activities Enforce camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the recreational facilities Demonstrate the use of recreational equipment and teach participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity Work with the camp directors and other camp staff to handle challenges with facilities, programs and campers Help each participant meet the goals established by the camp for camper development Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, and facilities
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience in working with adolescents in a group setting Ability to learn and enforce the camps safety and operating rules Current CPR/First Aid, AED certification preferred
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK ANTICIPATED:
up to 40 hours per week
TIME REQUIREMENTS:
Hours will vary as needed during the week of camp session(s)

Bloodborne Pathogens & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Working in Hot & Cold Environments
