CLC STUDENT AID WORKER

The CLC Student Aid Worker position is a Minot State University off-campus work study employment opportunity with the Minot Public School Community Learning Center (CLC). This position is for MSU students during the 2026-2027 academic year that are work study eligible.

  • Part-time employment with school age children in the Minot Public School CLC Program.
  • Off-campus position located at one of the Minot elementary schools.
  • Hours are flexible: before school and/or after school hours of employment are 7 am-8:40 am and/or 3 pm-6 pm Monday through Friday. Work about 5-20 hours per week.
  • Starting pay is over $15.48 per hour.
  • Transportation is needed by the student to get to the grade school location.
  • Assist school age children with homework assignments, math and reading skills.
  • Supervise children in areas outside the classroom.
  • Assisting the CLC site coordinator with activities.
  • Employment for MSU students through May 14, 2027
  • Great opportunity for Teacher Education majors or anyone interested in working with school age children.
  • Must be work study eligible.

Confidentiality of Application Materials:

Pursuant to the NDCC 44-04-18.27, if a public entity or any person delegated authority by a public entity to review applications or make hiring decisions receives applications from three or more applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for a vacant position, the public entity or other person shall designate three or more of the qualified applicants as finalists for further consideration before the public entity or other person may issue an offer of employment to fill the position. However, if the public entity or other person does not wish to consider any of the applications further and decides not to make an offer of employment for the vacant position, the public entity need not designate any finalist. The applications and any records related to the applications which contain information that could reasonably be used to identify an applicant are exempt. Once the finalists are designated, the applications and related records of the finalists are open to the public. The public entity or other person reviewing applications on behalf of the public entity shall comply with all requirements for an executive session to discuss exempt applications. If, by the close of the application period for a vacant position, a public entity receives applications from fewer than three applicants who meet the minimum qualifications, the applications and records related to the applications are open to the public. A public entity may adopt policies regarding the release of exempt records under this section.

Veterans' Preference:

Veterans claiming preference must submit all proof of eligibility prior to the job posting closure date. Proof of eligibility includes a DD-214 or NGB 22, and if claiming disabled status, a current (within the last 12 months) letter of disability from the Veterans Administration.

Clery Statement:

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Minot State University publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The report includes the Universitys policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security, as well as three years' worth of crime statics for our campus. As a prospective employee, you are entitled to a copy of this report. The report and statistical data can be found online.
