Summary

To provide front desk clerical support for staff in Academic Advising and Planning.

  • Break down tasks into steps to complete work more efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Essential Functions

  • Answer phone calls to front desk
  • Make student appointments as requested
  • Takes and relays messages accurately
  • Greets students and either inform advisors of arriving appointments through our Jabber application
  • Scan all documents pertaining to student records as requested
  • Assist staff with special projects
  • Assists students in how to find basic information in the Student Center
  • Be able to assist students with HOW TO enroll
  • Distributes mail and office errands
  • Photocopies flyers & miscellaneous office materials
  • Keeps printer & copier stocked with paper & front desk and display rack supplied with forms & flyers
  • Keep work area neat and clean

Minimum Qualifications

  • Federal Work Study eligibility is a plus
  • Reliable and punctual for your shifts
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Good communication skills
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Must be able to multi-task with accuracy
  • Willing to assist with occasional evening programs
