This position is responsible for the administration of the student conduct program. The Student Conduct Resolutions Coordinator (SCR) will be responsible for developing standardized correspondence, process, policy, and educational programming. The SCR Coordinator will oversee misconduct case investigations, adjudications, sanction application and monitoring. The SCR Coordinator will also oversee the third-party vendor relationship development and maintenance for sanction engagement and learning development and facilitate consultations with faculty/staff members. The SCR Coordinator will assist with the Student Conduct Code revision process and with the development and presentation of necessary and related training for faculty/staff members, and attendance to Student Conduct or other necessary and related training in conflict resolutions (virtual and/or in person). The SCR Coordinator shall be responsible for monitoring and reviewing accessible, practical, and reasonable conflict resolution strategy options and methods, and managing the student conduct software platform service. The SCR Coordinator will also attend to the composition of activity, production, satisfaction and trend assessment reports, per the instruction and guidance of the Associate Vice President for Student Success.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in Communications, Sociology, Human Relations, Public Relations or a related field
Minimum (2) years' professional full-time work experience in a higher education environment in one or more of the following areas: Student Conduct, Student Development, Student Organizations Advisor, Housing/Residence Life or Student Academic Advising.
Minimum (2) years' directly related professional student affairs experience including knowledge of student development theory and student conduct processes, and applicable laws such as Clery Act, Title IX, 1st Amendment Rights (Freedom of Speech), and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of conflict resolution methods, including mediation, negotiation, and facilitation technique
Knowledge of restorative justice practices, including their application in educational settings
Familiarity with institutional policies, student codes of conduct, and legal requirements (e.g., FERPA, Title IX) that govern student behavior and right
Knowledge of ethical standards in handling student conflicts and maintaining confidentiality
Knowledge of student support services and their role in fostering student development
Understanding of diverse student populations and the impact of cultural, social, and economic factors on conflict and resolution
Basic understanding of mental health issues and referral processes for students in crisis or distress
Skills:
Good public speaking skills
Skilled and organized note-taker
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with students, faculty, and staff in a clear, compassionate, and effective manner
Active listening skills to fully understand different perspectives and concerns

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is light work which requires the person in this position to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

Work is performed during normal office hours; some evenings and weekends may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, Human Relations, or a related field
Three (3) years' professional full-time work experience in a higher education environment in Student Conduct, Student Development, Housing/Residence Life or Student Academic Advising.
Experience with Maxient or similar web-based software platforms
Required Training
Quarterly compliance training as assigned by College
Annual Campus Security Authority (CSA) Training
Work Hours
Monday through Friday; 8am - 5pm with evenings and weekends if required

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement)
Manage the Student Conduct process through advertisements, consultations, reviews, and adjudications with students, faculty, staff, and community members;
Evaluate and compose standardized correspondence and protocol to align with policy and parameters of current cloud-based software platform (currently Maxient);
Annually work with the Associate Vice President for Student Success to revise the Student Conduct Code, as needed;
Stay updated on Student Conduct-related legislation;
Provide regular (term and semester) and annual reports of student resolution activity, gender and race equity, progress, and production;
Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement, monitor, manage cases as needed;
Collaborate with Student Success Advisors for proactive approaches and strategies to retain students with reported behavioral concerns;
Assist with student retention-related projects as requested by the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Strategic Enrollment Management or Associate Vice President for Student Success;
Assess needs for the area, assess student misconduct activity/resolutions, student resolution services satisfaction and trends;
Facilitate the monitoring, maintenance, and updating of student resolution-related websites and social media accounts through the Marketing and Public Relations department;
Establish positive and professional relationships with campus police;
Serve as a significant member on the campus behavioral intervention/assessment team(s);
Serve on the drug prevention awareness programmatic committees;
Serve as an available investigator and/or adjudicator in student Title IX reported cases;
Assist in the resolution of Academic Integrity investigations and/or resolutions per established agreements with Academic Affairs;
Serve as a Student Affairs representative on the Institutional Policy Committee;
Assist with monitoring the national and local legislative updates regarding higher education student conduct and behavioral intervention matters;
Assist with the facilitation of the Student Complaint and Grievance process with the guidance of the Associate Vice President for Student Success. The Student Conflict Resolutions Coordinator will develop and annually review the associated policies for necessary revisions.
Assist with other projects and duties as needed.

Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
This position has been identified as having significant responsibility for student and campus activities. The individual holding this position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs are required to report crimes they become aware of to the Reporting Structure at Oklahoma City Community College. Annual CSA training is required for individuals holding this position.
