Student Data Manager/Bookkeeper/Lab Facilitator

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-Exempt, 10-Month Position; Full-Time 40hr/wk; Dependent on budget and program needs, this position is eligible for extended summer employment.

SALARY: NC 4-6 Based on Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

Student Data Manager- High school graduate required; associates degree in related area preferred; or 5 years of relevant experience involving a large variety of complex duties required; high level of computer proficiency required; ability to work with confidentiality; good communication skills; ability to interpret, analyze and report information; dependable; with good job attendance record with previous employers.

Lab Facilitator- High School graduate with completion of at least two years of higher education or completion of an associate's degree required; bachelor's degree in job related field preferred; educator license preferred; high level of computer proficiency; good communication skills; ability to work with confidentiality; demonstrate a supportive, flexible, and positive attitude; self-starter and highly organized; team player; good job attendance with previous employers.

DUTIES:

Student Data Manager- Daily maintenance of the student information database (NCSIS) and physical records to including all aspects of student records (attendance, grades, demographics, class schedules, test scores, immunizations, enrolments, withdrawals etc.); prepares correspondence to parents to advise them of excessive absences according to established policies; facilitates transfer of student records between schools; maintains information for Uniform Education Reporting System (UERS) reporting areas; prepares customized reports for local and state needs; when needed will receive telephone calls and greets visitors.

Bookkeeper:

Accurately maintains a large, multi-fund bookkeeping system using an online accounting program; verifies and receipts collections of money from school personnel and school events; creates daily deposits, issues local requisitions for school funds; verifies invoices for payment; maintains receipts of items; enters accounting transactions into the system; generates monthly reports including cash flow statements, balance statements, and income/expenditure statements for each fund; accurately maintains payroll records and completes monthly payroll reports;

Lab Facilitator:

Provide supervision of students in online classes, credit recovery courses, or in-school suspension; consults with classroom teachers on issues such as attendance, behavior management, delinquency; provide behavior support; monitor student progress; report progress to faculty, administration and parents; maintains confidentiality of student records and information; additional duties assigned by the superintendent, principal or principal's designee.
