What We Want
We are seeking a Student Development Specialist II to join the Student Media team within Student Life. The ideal candidate has experience advising student media organizations, strong written and verbal communication skills, is highly organized and collaborative, and is familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, NCAA and SEC media guidelines.

Salary Range: $51,750 - 56,000/annually.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience in student affairs work or related specialty.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience Advising student media groups at the secondary or college level
Involvement in relevant national student media advising groups
Experienced with trends within journalism
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of Adobe Suite
Knowledge of computers and pre-press and printing processes
Working knowledge of online and multimedia platforms
Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instructing individuals and groups
Skilled in utilizing various learning and active listening strategies
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
