    SalaryRange: $51,750 - $55,000

    Job Description Summary

    The Student Development Specialist II, under general direction, is responsible for coordinating campus, community, government and non-profit resources. Provides direct support, and coordinates services for students experiencing challenges with food, housing, finances, and other basic needs. This position will plan and implement the food pantry program within Student Life as well as with campus partners.

    Responsibilities

    Area Operations

    • Oversee daily operations of the campus food pantry and related programs. Manage inventory systems, logistics, vendor relationships, and service delivery. Primary point of contact for the food pantry program. Maintain resource referral information. Build and sustain campus and community partnerships to expand resource availability. Collaborate with student organizations, campus partners and community agencies to support basic needs programming. Support coordinated institutional response to student basic needs. Provide outreach and education to stakeholders.

    Student Case Management Assistance

    • Provide assistance in the case management process by maintaining knowledge and training on government assistance program access. Assist students in completing application processes. Meet with students experiencing basic needs insecurities and support through referral connection.

    Administrative Tasks

    • Lead data collection, tracking, and analysis for basic needs programs. Prepare reports demonstrating program impact and informing decision‑making. Maintain accurate documentation and continuous improvement processes.

    University/Division/Department Duties

    • Serves as a representative on Department, Division, and University committees and task forces, at events, and to department stakeholders as assigned.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications

    Required Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • One year of experience in student affairs work or related specialty. 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with case management in a higher education setting.

    • Previous experience with non-profit or government basic needs resource management.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Attention to detail. 

    • Dependability. 

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Willingness to work as part of a team to aid students. 

    • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
