Position Summary
The student helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab and classroom environment. Responsibilities include preparing materials for labs, assisting faculty with lab activities, operating architectural equipment as needed, collaborating on interdepartmental projects, and testing student exercises.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean and organize the lab and classroom
- Prepare materials for labs (architectural equipment operation may be required)
- Assist Faculty as needed to support labs
- Collaborate to assist and/or test interdepartmental exercises (Automation, Engineering, and Makers Lab)
- Test student exercises
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
Skills and Specifications:
- Ability to use various Autodesk CAD and BIM software, including Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Revit
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to use Microsoft products and o?ce equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Professional maturity and sense of responsibility
- Ability to deal with complex and/or stressful situations with relative ease
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and withstand walking/being on feet for extended periods of time
