Job Description Summary

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The library provides academic support for students and faculty at Shawnee State University. Student employees provide Service Desk coverage, assist with duties at the desk such as checking out materials, answering question and basic assistance with computers.

POSITION SUMMARY, ROUTINE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Check books in and out, provide basic reference services to students and faculty, assist Library Specialist with Inter-Library Loan, shelving books & shelf reading and basic office duties.

• Ability to lift 20 pounds

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered full-time SSU student
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
• Follow SSU dress code policy

This position is not eligible for benefits.
