Position Introduction:

Will work with Education Staff to assist with natural history classes for children aged 6-12. Will help the Summer Camp Facilitator conduct activities, supervise campers, help with daily classroom set-up and clean-up, and class preparation. Some programs take place outdoors. May drive a van to transport children. Applicants must furnish three references at time of applying.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED AND, must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Skills:

  • Experience working with children in a daycare, classroom or informal education setting
  • Interest in science and natural history education
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive and able to prioritize tasks independently
