Workweek

Up to 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Schedule will vary depending on students class schedule and needs of the IT Department.

Position Summary

Student employees at the IT Help Desk are responsible for assisting students and employees with technology related issues. This includes helping customers in person and answering phones/checking voicemails. Candidates must be customer service oriented, have general computer/technology knowledge, be reliable and punctual and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist customers with password resets/log in guidance
• General Canvas, email, and Wi-Fi assistance
• Gather information and create Help Desk tickets
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products
• Learn new concepts quickly
• Handle confidential information
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
