Summary of Job Duties:

This Student Employee position is part of a cross-disciplinary research project funded by the UAMS TRI Team Science Voucher Award. The project, "The HASE App Initiative: Building Digitally Accessible Hearing Care Solutions," aims to develop a digital app that allows hearing aid users to report their confidence in managing and using their hearing aids. The information collected through the app will help audiologists provide more individualized hearing rehabilitation and improve patient-centered hearing care.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a 2nd-year student in the CHP Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology.

  • Bachelor of Science.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the research team by assisting with recruitment and qualitative data management.

  • Support in facilitating community engagement, listening to audio recordings, verifying interview transcripts for accuracy, organizing qualitative data, and assisting the research team with data interpretation.

  • Provides hands-on experience in qualitative research methods, team science, and app development research, offering valuable professional development in health sciences research.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
