Job Summary:

Student employees in Medical Locked Storage (MLS) will play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who visits or contacts the office. You'll help staff our service desk-greeting guests, answering phones, responding to emails, and ensuring a positive, professional environment for students, faculty, staff, and the public. Reception duties also include providing general information about MLS services, as well as making appropriate referrals to campus departments/programs and resources when needed.
MLS is located in the Health and Human Services (HHS) building on LCC's Main Campus. MLS Student Employees are responsible for filling supply and equipment orders, making deliveries throughout the HHS Building, assembling student supply kits, cleaning, washing/drying/folding laundry, stocking, assembling furniture and equipment, and staffing the MLS service desk. They must work productively and efficiently with both students and instructors in a friendly, cooperative, and customer service-focused manner. MLS Student Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Computer and phone skills are necessary.
Student employees must be dependable and have the ability to work independently. MLS hours of operation is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional weekend or evening hours may be needed for special projects or during peak seasons.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.
