Advancement at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Employee to provide support for the Building Operations department at the Auburn Alumni Center!
This position supports the day-to-day functions of facility operations and event services. This position assists with event setup and support, basic building maintenance tasks, and front desk operations to help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with event setup and breakdown; including arranging tables, chairs, equipment, and signage according to event specifications
- Provide on-site event support to ensure smooth execution, including troubleshooting basic issues and responding to staff or guest needs
- Support building maintenance operations by performing light cleaning, reporting maintenance concerns, and assisting with minor upkeep tasks
- Staff the reception desk by greeting visitors, answering questions, directing traffic, and providing general information
- Monitor facility spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to policies
- Assist with inventory, supply restocking, and equipment organization
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly
Qualifications:
- Enrolled student at Auburn University, in good academic standing
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Pay Range:
USD $10.00 - USD $10.00 /Hr.
