Position Title Student Employee Receptionist for the Art and Design Dept Fall 2026 - Work Study Student Status Work Study Required- You are required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position. Work Location Springfield Campus Department Art & Design Hiring Range $15/hr Sponsorship Information
Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
Department/Employer Operating Hours Art & Design, M-F 8-5pm How many hours per week are required? up to 9 Description of Primary Duties
Work Study Award Required - Receptionist position available in the Main Front Office.
General receptionist/office duties, answering the phone, transferring calls, taking messages, supplying students with advisor contact information and direction to classes, using the photo copier, and shredding, as well as other duties assigned. Also, duties may include research projects for the department which may include using Excel to document information found and running the POS (Point of Sale) machine so Art and Design students can purchase photo supplies or pay fees for classes using their BearPass card.
Days and times needed to fill: Mondays anytime between 8-5pm, most need from 3pm-5pm, and Wednesdays 8am-1pm, and 4-5pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 1pm-5pm.
Required Qualifications
Must hold a Work Study Award (it will be on your Award letter).

Please do not apply if you do not currently hold a Work Study Award. If you are on the Work Study Wait-list, you must wait until you actually receive the Award before applying.
Must be professional, have an excellent work ethic, be self-motivated, and reliable.
Preference will be given to those who have experience working in a front office or receptionist environment.
Required Certifications Additional Qualifications
Preference given to applicants who attend classes at the Brick City campus as well as those who have flexible hours and are available to work at our exciting downtown location.
