Student Employee - Recruitment Ambassador
Position Summary:
Recruitment Ambassadors represent Ensign College with professionalism and enthusiasm in all recruitment settings. This position supports Admissions and Recruitment efforts by engaging with prospective students, families, and community members through a variety of outreach activities. We are seeking students who are dependable, approachable, and confident in engaging with diverse audiences. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate reliability in meeting commitments, and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Ambassadors must also be adaptable, organized, and open to learning new processes and responsibilities.
Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part-time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy.
In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Hours: 15–19 hours a week during the semester. The starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of a $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
· Tasks
Represent Ensign College at off-campus recruitment events, including high school visits, college fairs, and community outreach activities
Provide campus tours to prospective students and visitors
Assist with on-campus recruitment events (open houses, conferences, group visits, etc.)
Support Admissions Office operations, including front desk coverage, call center campaigns, and other assignments as trained
Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors
· Duties
Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm while representing Ensign College
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled events and assignments
Follow established procedures for campus tours, event setup, and student outreach
Communicate effectively with Admissions staff, prospective students, and external partners
· Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy in providing information about Ensign College programs, services, and opportunities
Safely operate personal or college-issued vehicles for off-campus travel as required (valid driver’s license required)
Maintain confidentiality of student and college records
Uphold high standards of reliability, professionalism, and courtesy in all interactions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge
General understanding of Ensign College programs, services, and student resources
Familiarity with customer service principles and practices
Basic knowledge of Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse audiences
Ability to organize and manage multiple commitments responsibly
Professional representation in both on-campus and off-campus settings
· Abilities
Dependability in fulfilling assignments and schedules
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and event needs
Confidence in public speaking and group presentations
Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the college
Safely and responsibly drive a personal or college vehicle when needed
All student employees accept as conditions of employment that they will:
Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits (3 per block) and in good academic standing.
Refrain from behavior or expression that seriously and adversely affects the college mission or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Act in accordance with the Church Educational System Honor Code and the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations.
Comply with all college policies and procedures.
Commit to bring about the purposes of Ensign College.
