Workweek

Up to 20 hours per week | Schedule will vary based on the student's/students' availability.

Position Summary

Student employees working in the Student Resource Center support the daily operations of the center, help connect students with available services and foster a welcoming environment for all MCC students. You will provide front-desk and office support, peer-to-peer assistance, and general customer service within the MCC Student Resource Center.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Monitor front desk, welcoming guests, and answering questions about Student Life and the Student Resource Center

• Distribute "The Flush" to all restrooms across campus as scheduled (every other week)

• Foster a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere in the Student Resource Center

• Create Student IDs for new students

• Support daily upkeep of the Student Resource Center by performing light cleaning and tidying tasks

• Contribute to projects in such ways as:

• Providing event set-up and clean-up

• Researching and writing promotional materials for Student Resource Center initiatives/events

• Assist clubs and organizations (reserving rooms, arranging pictures, filing documents)

• Assist with recording podcast content

• Ability to use Microsoft Office products

• Ability to use office equipment

• Complete projects assigned by immediate supervisor, which may include assisting other departments

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours at MCC
• Must hold a minimum of a 2.0 GPA (If you're a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
