Job Title:Health and Wellness Program Assistant
Department:Office of Community Engagement
Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study        
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Cheshire Community YMCA’s Health and Wellness Director in all aspects of the AAP program including:
    • Promotion and participant recruitment
    • Tracking participant testing results
    • Tracking participant attendance
    • Communicating with participants
  • Interact with volunteers, members, and community partners/businesses when needed
  • Learn about the different chronic disease programs and wellness classes offered by the Cheshire YMCA in order to better understand the AAP program and provide guidance to program participants
Qualifications:
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent computer, oral, written and problem-solving skills
  • Work well independently, and provide excellent customer service to participants and partners
  • Must be organized and able to work effectively with volunteers and staff
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Hours of Position:
  • Student will be expected to work up to 6-8 hours per week Monday through Friday.  Time of day varies by program that is being supported.
