    Description

    Job Title:Marketing Assistant
    Department:Office of Community Engagement
    Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study        
    Responsibilities:
    • Support the Cheshire Community YMCA’s marketing to promote program areas, special events, annual campaign and capital campaign efforts.
    • Interact with volunteers, members, and community partners/businesses when needed to create marketing materials
    • Assist in the development of Cheshire Community YMCA’s advertising, marketing, and promotional materials for Special Events, Annual Campaigns, and Capital Campaigns
    • Support distribution of marketing, promotional materials both in the community and via social media/email communications, including press releases, etc.
    • Learn and keep up to date on Y branding and compliance related to communications
    • Incorporate Y branding into all community development communications and messaging strategies for the association
    Qualifications:
    • Knowledge/experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred: web design, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro preferred, Canva and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge/proficiency in social media platforms with excellent computer, oral, written and problem-solving skills
    • Work well independently while handling multiple projects and concepts simultaneously
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Y members and volunteers
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
    Hours of Position:
    • Student will be expected to work up to 6-8 hours per week between the hours of 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday.
