Whether virtually or on-campus, serve as a guide and resource to prospective, newly admitted, and current international students.
Participate in live or virtual events and/or information sessions, as needed.
Assist with international campus visitors as well as answer phone and email inquiries to the International Student Admissions email and forward specific email inquiries to Admissions and OISS staff.
Assist with transcript evaluation through formulas and resources.
Create promotional material for social media platforms.
Supporting online peer-to-peer engagement with prospective students via a live chat platform and other technical platforms.
Contribute to new and ongoing project work that advances the work of the Office of International Admissions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Quinnipiac’s undergraduate or graduate studies
Positively promote the Quinnipiac community by sharing stories of your experience comfortably and confidently.
Be able to provide a welcoming and helpful atmosphere to individuals from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
Exhibit a professional attitude; demonstrate a willingness to lead, solve problems, and collaborate as a team player.
Prompt response to all office communications (email, Google Calendar invitations, Zoom, etc.).
Strong desire to help new international students.
Self-motivated
Hours of Position:
Up to 10 hours/week
Monday- Friday 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Some duties may require assisting in virtual or in person events outside of working hours or on the weekend.
