Maintain a working knowledge of Office of Belonging activities that enables accurate connecting of community members to the appropriate office services, resources, and staff members.
Monitor and respond to office communications – including e-mail and telephone – in a professional and timely manner.
Provide administrative support to graduate assistants and professional staff.
Assist with the preparation of community and office documents, presentations, and event materials.
Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations.
Qualifications:
Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Quinnipiac-related technologies (i.e. MyQ, SharePoint, website).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preference for prior participation in an Office of Belonging program (i.e. Bobcat Academy, Commuter Connections, First Generation Support, First Year Immersion, QU Enriching Student Transitions, Pell Student Support, Sawhney Leadership Program, Transfer Connections)
Hours of Position:
Up to 10hrs per week
As determined between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
