Job Description

Applicant must be a current Carroll College student enrolled in at least 6 credits to be eligible to apply. Department: Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) Position: Advancement Outreach Center Associate (AOCA) Purpose of Job: Advancement Outreach Center Associates build positive relationships with Carroll College alumni, parents, friends, and other constituents through phone calls, text messages, and emails. Associates help secure financial support for Carroll scholarships and programs, thank donors for their generosity, share the impact of donor support, and help maintain accurate constituent information. Duties: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:Communicate with Carroll College constituents by phone, text, email, video, and handwritten letters to encourage financial support for various Carroll College funds.Build positive relationships with alumni, parents, friends, and businesses affiliated with Carroll College.Serve as a positive ambassador for Carroll College.Follow scripts and procedures to communicate with Carroll constituents in a professional and engaging manner.Share information about upcoming Carroll College events and encourage constituents to attend.Track individual and team outreach progress and results.Work toward individual and team outreach goals and benchmarks during each shift.Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.Assist with Advancement and Grateful Saints events and encourage peers to show gratitude and learn more about the impact of donor support.Perform other duties as determined by the Development Coordinator. Attendance: All Associates are expected to attend mandatory training and be present for their scheduled shifts. Associates are expected to arrive on time and communicate with supervisors in advance if changes to their scheduled shifts are needed. Employment Specifications: Work-Study preferred, but not required Approximate Hours/Week: Flexible schedule based on student employees schedule, up to 20 hours per week. All AOCA are required to work at least 6 hours per week during our outreach sessions (Fall: September - November / Spring: January - April). Shifts are available Sundays from 2pm to 6pm and Monday -Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.
