Student Employment - OIA Student Media Assistant

Applicant must be a current Carroll College student enrolled in at least 6 credits to be eligible to apply.Department: Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA)Position: Student Media AssistantPurpose of Job: The OIA Student Media Assistant is responsible for assisting with digital media, audio production, graphic design, and communications projects. The Student Media Assistant will play a key role in producing Lives of the Carroll Saints, an interview based OIA podcast, while also supporting a variety of Advancement projects.Duties: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:Edit podcast episodes using Audacity, including cleaning and balancing audio, removing unwanted sounds, adding music and transitions, and preparing episodes for publication.Assist with recording and producing short audio promotional segments for the podcast and Carroll College.Create graphics, promotional materials, and visual content using Canva.Assist with scheduling podcast recordings, appointments, and meetings.Organize digital audio, graphic, and media files.Work independently on assigned creative projects while communicating effectively with Advancement staff.Support alumni engagement, donor stewardship, fundraising, events, mailings, and other projects within the Office of Institutional Advancement and other duties as assigned.Qualifications: We are looking for a student with an interest in audio production, podcasting, graphic design, communications, storytelling, or digital media. Experience with Audacity and Canva is strongly preferred. Experience with podcasting, audio recording, photography, video, social media, or other creative production is a plus. The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, organized, curious, comfortable learning new skills, and able to manage projects independently while meeting deadlines.Employment Specifications: Work-Study preferred, but not required.Approximate Hours/Week: 7 to 10 hours per week, flexible around class schedule.Length of Employment: Academic YearWage Rate: $12.50/hourTo Apply Please Contact: Kal Poole at kpoole@carroll.edu
