ECU Office of Community Engagement and Research is currently seeking several SECU Public Fellow Interns.
SECU Public Fellows Internship participants will take part in 20 hours of leadership and professional development workshops in addition to the 220 hour internship experience at the site they have been chosen for. Students will be expected to attend a MANDATORY orientation on May 15, 2026, attend workshops scheduled throughout their internship, and at the end of their internship, and present at a State Employees Credit Union Advisory Board meeting either in summer or fall.
Each student will report to one of the twenty predetermined sites for their 330 hour internship from May 18, 2026 - August 15, 2026. Each student will receive an email confirmation on which site they have been accepted at for the summer.
The fellowship is contingent on the following:
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Each student should be enrolled in classes in either the summer or the fall, not be graduating prior to the internship end date, be a North Carolina resident, and be in good academic standing.
