Assist faculty in research projects, including searching literature, writing annotated bibliographies, entering quantitative data into analysis software such as SPSS, and qualitative data review (faculty will provide training and give directions for assignments)
Assist faculty in departmental programming needs, including creating/disseminating surveys, event flyers, and communications with student body
Represent MSW department at open house events, faculty searches, and interprofessional events
Typing, filing, editing, duplicating, and other clerical projects, as assigned
Maintain the MSW Social Media pages
Maintain the MSW Program Canvas organization
Qualifications:
Good interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently after receiving instructions
Comfort asking questions when unsure
Knowledge of and comfort with basic Research concepts and skills
Social media experience
Experience with Canvas
Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
Proficient with Zoom
One position is available for an incoming new full-time Generalist Social Work student and another position is available for in an incoming full-time Advanced Standing Social Work student
Hours of Position:
Varies – can complete most work remotely and as long as deadlines met, specific work hours are not set, except when for department events.
