The Septemberfest Committee Coordinator will take lead on several areas of this fundraiser including overseeing volunteer committee members.Duties and Responsibilities: Depending on the skills and interests of the successful applicant, the Septemberfest Fundraising Committee Coordinator position will assist our full-time team members and board with a range of tasks including:Event Planning & CoordinationAssist in developing and maintaining the Septemberfest planning timeline and task checklist.Coordinate logistics including venue setup, permits, equipment rentals, and vendor needs.Support vendor recruitment and communication (e.g., food trucks, entertainment, beverage providers, artisans).Help secure sponsorships and donations by preparing outreach materials and tracking commitments.Assist in coordinating event volunteers, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.Maintain accurate records of contracts, payments, and communications.Marketing & PromotionSupport creation of event marketing materials in coordination with United Way staff and partners.Assist with social media promotion, website updates, and community outreach efforts.Help manage ticketing and attendee communications.Day-of-Event SupportAssist with event setup, vendor coordination, volunteer direction, and attendee assistance.Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth event flow.Support post-event tear-down and cleanup.Post-EventHelp with evaluation, budget reconciliation, and thank-you communications.Support the compilation of event feedback and data for reporting and improvement.Qualifications: Commitment to advancing the common good in our communityPersonal investment in your own professional growth and willingness to learn.Communicate effectively on the phone, by email, in person, and in writingWillingness to talk to donors and supporters, teaching people about United Way, our community impact programs, and our partner agenciesWilling to be creativeAble to take direction and follow detailed proceduresWilling to work hard to get a job doneEmployment Specifications: Work-Study Only.
