Applicant must be a current Carroll College student enrolled in at least 6 credits to be eligible to apply.Department: United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area (UWLCA)Purpose of Job: United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area is seeking an enthusiastic and organized intern to support the planning and execution of our annual Spirit of Service Day. This hands-on internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in nonprofit project management, event planning, and volunteer coordination while contributing to a meaningful community-wide day of service.Duties and Responsibilities: Depending on the skills and interests of the successful applicant, the Development and Marketing position will assist our full-time team members with a range of tasks including:Assist with planning and logistics leading up to the Spirit of Service event.Communicate with community members, local businesses, volunteer teams, and site leads.Help coordinate volunteer registration and track assignments.Support the development of promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, etc.).Solicit sponsorships and donations for events and individual projects.Assist with ordering, organizing, and distributing supplies for project sites.Visit project sites pre-event to help assess readiness and logistics.Provide on-site support for the day of the event, including setup, volunteer check-in, and troubleshooting (if still in community).Assist with post-event wrap-up, data collection, thank-you communication, and reporting.Work collaboratively with the United Way team and community partners.Qualifications: Interest in nonprofit work, community service, or event planning.Strong communication and organizational skills.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; Canva or social media skills a plus.Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about community engagement. Employment Specifications: Work-Study Only.
