Overview
Engagement Assistants will provide support for various departments and programs throughout the College, assist Student Affairs and primarily the Office of Student Engagement in the planning and implementation of various student-focused programs. This position will provide marketing support including but not limited to campus posters and the "Stall Wall Weekly", serve as a primary contact for evening and weekend programs, and complete specific projects assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities
Assist the Office of Student Engagement staff and other various professional staff members with student focused work project(s). Assist professional staff with advertising programs and events through distribution of items including, but not limited to, Stall Wall Weekly, posters, advertisements, and table tents. Provide coverage for student focused programs to include, but not limited to, live performances, information displays, film screenings, and special events. Act as an announcer at programs and hand out giveaways, as necessary. Assist professional staff with evening and weekend programs by performing basic functions (i.e., setup sound, video, and lighting equipment, opening rooms, tabling, etc.). Assist performers with backstage and house operations per their direction and the direction of professional Staff. Resolve routine problems that may be encountered during programs and be familiar with the resources for assistance (i.e., College Police, General Services, A/V Services, Student Engagement staff, etc.). Assist professional staff with inhouse publicity and creative marketing of programs including but not limited to social media outlets. Research student focused programming ideas, content for the Student Life social media accounts, and giveaway options. Become knowledgeable of the College''s physical plant and policies as they relate to students and the public. Be committed to the College in helping students and public. Be a proper role model for peer group. Be supportive of the College and its programs, in action as well as theory, and encourage students to participate in student focused programming. Attend training sessions and meetings as required. Carry out responsibilities in a positive and timely manner. Interact and communicate with professional staff on an ongoing basis. Become knowledgeable of College emergency procedures and act accordingly.
