Reporting to the Undergraduate Career Outcomes Specialist, the Student Engagement Strategist is an integral part of telling the Fordham undergraduate story. This position, alongside the cross-campus Student Engagement Strategist team, assists in tracking outcomes for every graduating senior to develop a fuller understanding of how students use their Fordham education. This outcome data helps the University and the Career Center identify strengths and weaknesses and provides areas for improvement year after year, contributing to the long-term growth of the University and the Career Center. This position supports the University's outreach goals of contacting each member of the graduating class and achieving knowledge rates that exceed the national average. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during peak collection periods.
Essential Functions
Conducts outreach following commencement to graduating students to determine post-graduation intentions, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, text messages, and social media.
Participates in data entry and cleaning projects as needed during high-volume times, especially at survey launch in the spring and the end of the collection period in January.
Maintains a database of outcomes and outreach records by following up with recent graduates for additional information.
Collaborates with the team to develop creative methods to encourage reporting of post-grad intentions prior to graduation through giveaways, raffles, and senior-specific programming.
Liases between Student Workers and Career Center staff to support team outreach and tracking efforts.
Engages with undergraduates by assisting with department events, such as Career Fairs, Cap & Gown pick-up, tabling, pop-ups, and workshops.
Utilizes knowledge and familiarity with Career Center resources, events, staff, and opportunities to encourage career development among peers and offer support to alumni.
Supports the creation of marketing materials, including social media posts, newsletters, and flyers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct cold outreach and work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
