Position Overview:
The TCNJ Center for the Arts seeks a Student Worker to support Audience Services in CFA venues throughout the academic year, with select events across campus. This role helps ensure patron safety and a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities:
To serve as an Events Usher in the arts and performance venues on campus for the School of the Arts & Communication and TCNJ Center for the Arts as well as for other clients holding events in these venues. Under the supervision of the Student Events House Manager, the Usher will perform a variety of duties all relating to:
welcoming and assisting patrons throughout all aspects of an event, e.g. parking and wayfinding to the venue, wayfinding within the venue;
staffing the doors to scan tickets and hand out programs;
seating patrons;
staffing the emergency exist and keepign the aisles and oorways clear;
maintaining the venue''s policies [food, recording, power supply, etc.];
helping to keep the venuye presentable and performance ready;
operating Box Office and processing in-person sales at events;
and alerting the Student Events House Manager of any issues.
