We are seeking Emergency Room Student RN Extern, also referred to as our Emergency Room Nurse Intern, ER Nurse Extern or ER Student Extern in our Emergency Services department. The ER Student Extern plays a supportive clinical role under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and preceptors, while still in nursing school. • Observe and gain exposure to a wide range of emergency procedures including IV insertions, catheterizations, wound care, and critical care interventions alongside experienced ER registered nurses
  • Provide compassionate patient interaction by responding to call lights, assisting with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and offering emotional support to patients and their families
  • Contribute to accurate clinical documentation by recording vital signs, intake and output, and care activities in the electronic medical record according to hospital policy and supervision guidelines
