The undergraduate student will assist the College of Forestry & Wildlife Environment property managers with projects on Auburn University land in the Lee County area.
Responsibilities:Cruise timber and collect forest inventory data.
Mark boundary lines and assist with field data collection.
Enter and manage field and project data.
Support forest road maintenance and weed control efforts.
Assist with prescribed fire operations.
Participate in invasive species management activities.
Help maintain AU forest lands and general property upkeep.
Travel to properties such as MOT and Crooked Oaks to help host events and tours.
Clean and organize facilities including the MOT pavilion, forestry tool shed, and forest products storage shed.
