The job of Student Helper (Hourly) is established for the purpose of providing support to classroom teachers by assisting with routine, non-instructional tasks and helping students with basic academic activities under direct supervision. Student Helpers serve as an additional resource to ensure students remain engaged and supported during class activities. Duties are strictly limited to support functions under the direction and supervision of certificated staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Classroom environment and school campus settings. - Standing and walking for extended periods. - Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), bending, and reaching. - Hearing and speaking to exchange information with students and staff. - Seeing to read written instructions and classroom materials.
