STUDENT HELPERS NEEDED

The Stratford Board of Education is looking for Student Helpers to assist in the cleaning of various school buildings during the summer months. Student Helpers are directed by the Head Custodian at each of the schools.

Dates: July 1, 2026 through August 21, 2026 Schedule: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Clean/vacuum/dust/wash floors, walls, windows, ceilings, and furniture as assigned.
• Monitor and clean up litter from school grounds
• General maintenance of inside and outside of buildings
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Custodian or designee

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be a student attending the Stratford Public Schools or a Stratford resident attending another high school.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to maintain positive interaction with teachers, administration, co-workers, town employees and students.
• Must be approved and recommended by the School Administrator.
• Other criteria may apply.
