About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at University Highlands Student Apartments as a Student Housing Maintenance Technician! This exciting position offers the opportunity to ensure our student community enjoys a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment in beautiful Boone, NC.



Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
  • Assist in the preparation of apartments for new residents, including repairs and cleaning.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to enhance overall property quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain a positive community atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification a plus but not required.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, or ability to learn.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations.
  • Must be willing to live on-site in company-paid housing after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
  • As an alternative to living on-site, you must live no more than a 30-minute drive from the property.
