Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The UCLA Semel Institute is seeking a Student Worker to support a research study sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) or their designee, the incumbent will assist with a variety of administrative and study-related responsibilities.
Primary duties include:
- Recording and organizing research data using Microsoft Excel
- Assisting with basic data analysis
- Coordinating print and online advertising efforts for study recruitment
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Experience and proficiency in using SPSS and Microsoft Office software programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Registered as a UCLA student
- Organizational skills to effectively manage files and data
- Strong interpersonal/communication to convey confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism
- Ability to consistently interact appropriately, diplomatically and positively with staff, faculty, and students.
- Ability to work independently and to follow through on assignments with minimal direction
- Strong English language skills in editing reports, correspondence and manuals
- Ability to work effectively with under pressure, and with frequent interruptions, and changing priorities, to meet deadlines
