In this role, you will help ensure the integrity of our student information systems, support and empower colleagues, and use data to help our students and families thrive.Job SummaryThe Student Information Manager ensures the reliability, integrity, and effective use of student data systems across the school community-including academic, admissions, and advancement departments. The manager leads system upgrades, data reporting, and user training, with a primary focus on PowerSchool and related software platforms, and serves as a key resource to school leadership on data-informed decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesManage PowerSchool: setup, development, integration, and user support.Maintain SIS environments, manage user accounts and security settings, and recommend improvements based on best practices.Manage school year setup and annual SIS rollover, including calendar configuration.Facilitate data exchange between PowerSchool, WISEdata, and other platforms.Provide training and support to staff on using data systems.Develop and maintain an SIS disaster recovery plan.Prepare timely and accurate data reports for school leadership.Manage student enrollment, records, and transcript processes, including NCAA eligibility reporting.Essential FunctionsStudent Information System (SIS) ManagementServe as the school's primary point of contact for SIS operations and data management, reporting directly to the Principal.Train and support school staff on data systems related to data entry, security, reporting, and printing.Import/export data between PowerSchool, WISEdata, and third-party systems.Act as liaison with PowerSchool regarding updates, data requirements, and deadlines.Keep leadership informed of SIS-related issues and state reporting requirements.Manage schedule creation and maintenance throughout the school year, including student scheduling, course changes, and section balancing in PowerSchool.Support the annual master schedule build in PowerScheduler, including constraint-solving for course and section alignment across grade levels.Manage PowerSchool user permission levels (e.g., Data Export Manager access) for staff who require reporting or data export capabilities.Ensure FERPA compliance in all data handling, access permissions, and record-sharing decisions.Software MaintenanceMaintain software utilized by the school, including Schoology, TalkingPoints, PowerSchool Behavior Support, Hapara, and other platforms as assigned.Serve as the school's primary point of contact for setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of these platforms.Coordinate account provisioning, updates, and data integration between these platforms and PowerSchool.Enrollment, Records & TranscriptsProcess new student enrollments and withdrawals in PowerSchool, including the transfer of cumulative records to and from other schools.Maintain and archive student cumulative records in compliance with FERPA and Archdiocesan/state retention requirements.Manage production and secure distribution of official and unofficial student transcriptsServe as the school's NCAA Eligibility Center contact, maintaining the approved core-course list and uploading transcripts for student-athletes.Attendance & Assessment DataMonitor the accuracy data reported to the state to produce the annual school report card; troubleshoot and correct discrepancies.Oversee report card and progress report generation each grading period.Maintain records of standardized and state assessment scores (e.g., SAT, AP, ACT, WISEdata-reported assessments) in PowerSchool.Data Management & ReportingSupport the collection, organization, and analysis of disaggregated data for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CRN, Archdiocese, state, and federal agencies).Manage annual reporting processes for:Immunization complianceCRN Annual Data ReportArchdiocese and Jesuit reportingExecute special data projects as assigned.Troubleshoot data-related issues for staff and external partners.Attend relevant training sessions or conferences as needed.Prepare documentation, procedures, reports, and other materials as required.Other DutiesStay informed on current trends and updates in student data systems and SIS platforms.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Education, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field preferredMinimum 3 years experience with student information systems or school data management Personal knowledge and alignment with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School's Catholic and Jesuit missionExcellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office and database managementKnowledge of Google Management System for a 1:1 student environmentThe ability to work independently and with a team.Demonstrated ability to take initiative to improve projects and tasks.Able to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations and develop action plans.Ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
